The acoustic emission analysis system can be used to detect, record and analyze high-frequency acoustic emissions. These are generated by defects, such as crack initiation and progression or corrosion. The number, amplitude, overshoot and other characteristics of the recorded events can be used to detect and evaluate damage at an early stage. By using sensors operating in parallel, it is also possible to locate signal sources via runtime analyses.
