Ultrasonic or eddy current tests can be carried out automatically using our water test tanks with the aid of a gantry manipulator. The X, Y and Z axes can be manipulated as required within the maximum travel range via the control computer and the axis controller, and their position can be recorded using a 2-axis encoder. The test stand can be used, for example, to test for defects within the weld seams in a wet environment. Surface defects or imperfections in the material can also be detected using a surface scan with encoders.
