Large test basin

The UWTH's large experimental tank holds 300 m³ of water. Due to its size, it offers the opportunity to carry out a wide range of investigations. The large experimental tank also has windows embedded in the walls that make it possible to observe processes.

There is also a pressure chamber in the tank with an integrated axis system in which welding and cutting tests can be carried out.

The pressure chamber at the bottom of the pool allows water depths of up to 16 m to be simulated. The water is continuously treated by a modern filter circuit and thus offers consistent water quality. There is a pressure chamber for welding tests in the pool.
